The Content Marketing Matrix (infographic)

We’ve discussed Content Marketing from a variety of angles in recent months.  That’s why we are excited to share this powerful graphic we just posted to our Pinterest collection that does a nice job covering the types of Content Marketing techniques as well as the spectrum of goals marketers set and design content marketing campaigns to fulfill.  This infographic comes courtesy of  smartinsights.com, a marketing consulting concern.

This chart maps the most-used techniques across  an objective continuum on the X axis:  Awareness-to-Action (Purchase) as well as a ‘type’ continuum on the Y-axis: Emotional to Rational.  Much like Gartner’s Magic quadrant, the 4 boxes that result depict techniques designed to Inspire, Convince, Educate or Entertain (going clockwise).

The SmartInsights authors “created this to help companies and agencies brainstorm ideas for content media marketing for different objectives” and we think they knocked it out of the park!  (Sorry, this chart is slightly difficult to read within this blog.  Keep clicking or click here to get to a view that is enlargeable.  It will be worth it.)
